Petri’s secondment experience:

He was seconded to RMIT Unieversity (Melbourne, Australia) for one month in July-August 2022, and here he shares his experience with us:

  • What will you remember most about your first secondment to RMIT AU?

Firstly, I remember the faculty and staff at RMIT, good discussions and very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

  • Has it impacted your research in any way?

Insightful discussions and seeing how things progress in other parts of the world is important for any academic. This definitely will shape my thinking and works in the future.

  • What was most valuable about your month in Melbourne during your secondment?

The opportunity to actual visit places and meet people, not only online but onsite is something what we appreciate very much after the pandemic.

  • Would you be keen to come again as a secondee?

Yes, definitely, I would be happy to visit RMIT again.

  • If so, what would be on your wish list to achieve for a second secondment having now had the experience of the first?

I would like to continue the work started and initiate perhaps some joint projects.
