Seconded from the University of Siena (Italy) to RMIT EU (Barcelona)

As a  junior researcher at the Department of Business and Law, University of Siena (Italy),  staying at RMIT Europe in Barcelona, Spain, was a milestone in my research career. My first secondment at RMIT EU helped me connect with international researchers, PHD fellows, professors and businesses. 

Working on my first article, I had the opportunity to pitch my work and exchange ideas with researchers which helped me extend my knowledge about the topic and learn more about research methodologies and theories. My research focus lies in the area of ‘Artificial Intelligence and industry 4.0’ especially Agri-food sector and supply chain management. The secondment gave me the chance to conclude my first article on Artificial intelligence and Agri-Food and to trace new research lines thanks to the enriching network RMIT Europe provides.  

This secondment was an enlightening experience. I discovered a new culture, built an international network and got inspired. I am very grateful for this opportunity and I am looking forward to the next opportunity.
