Arto is Professor of International Business at the University of Vaasa, Finland. Ojala also holds the titles of Adjunct Professor in knowledge management from the University of Tampere (in Finland) and in entrepreneurship from the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics (in Finland). Ojala’s research is at the cross-section of international business, information systems, and entrepreneurship. In 2023 Ojala was ranked to the list of the world’s top 2% scientists by Stanford University. His articles have been published in Global Strategy Journal, Journal of World Business, IEEE Access, International Business Review, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Small Business Management, Information Systems Journal, IEEE Software among others. He received his doctorate in economics from the University of Jyväskylä in 2008, majoring in information systems science.
