Presentation at Vaasa Energy Week

Energy Week is the most important networking and sales event in the Nordic countries for local, national and international visitors. Held every year in March, this event gathers international energy enthusiasts to learn from the most recent news in the sector and exchange ideas. The 2022 edition was the first one to be held after 2019, as the event could not take place during the two previous years due to the health restrictions. 

On the second day of Vaasa Energy Week, March 22nd, within the Research Exhibition of Energy, OpenInnoTrain was presented by secondees from RMIT Europe Dr. Ahmad Alaassar and Elia Vallejos. The event was in the format of poster presentations, where many other projects from the University of Vaasa were also showcased, enabling opportunities for collaboration and networking. The two-hour session was a perfect occasion to showcase the secondment opportunities of OpenInnoTrain to those researchers from the University of Vaasa working mainly in CleanTech. 

During the event, former secondees from Merinova, Triinu Varblane and Johan Wasberg, shared experiences around OpenInnoTrain and secondments. Furthermore, project partners Mona Enell-Nilsson and Arto Rajala from the University of Vaasa, as well as Tauno Kekäle and Federica Polo from Merinova attended the engaging session.
