OpenInnoTrain session at ISPIM 2023: Journey to Becoming an Impact Champion

Many research outputs, generated by academic research professionals, non-academic professionals, industry professionals, have potential for creating value that can be pragmatically captured and implemented in the form of strategic approaches to generate real world impact regarding sustainable related grand challenges. Stakeholders and collaborators including government bodies, organisational partners, institutional researchers, and investors seek collaborations that are impact oriented to generate economic value as well as to generate social and societal value around welfare. A key question is, how much research and how many researchers avail the opportunity to generate impact despite the increased awareness about ‘impact’ being an important metric for measuring the success of a project at individual, institutional, organisational, and commercial levels.

This workshop has been designed by Prof. Anne-Laure Mention (Director, Global Business Innovation Enabling Impact Platform at RMIT and OpenInnoTrain Chief Investigator) and Dr. Avni Misra (Lecturer and Researcher at RMIT) to train a range of researchers and professionals from all backgrounds, with an understanding of impact and how to create impact through research.
