Oliver is a research assistant and doctoral student at the Institute for Entrepreneurship at Hamburg University of Technology.
In his research he focuses on social and behavioural phenomena relevant to entrepreneurship. Studying the interplay of entrepreneurial actors and external societal influences I take an empirical approach using large amounts of data like news articles about startups and founders.
Special emphasis is put on econometric and causal challenges as well as the application of advanced methods from the field of machine learning.
